Hello there everyone!!! Before I go on to swipe-off the “cobweb” on this blog, I would like to wish all of you a very Happy & Blessed New Year 2012!!! Some of you must be wondering where I have been for the past week since school had already re-opened. Well, if you are my FB friend, you would already know the reason. We did not start the New Year well and it indeed was a “blast” – A bad one that is. =( Baby Jo was diagnosed with pneumonia and had been admitted to hospital for a week. She was only discharged yesterday under the condition that we had to monitor her closely as she is still not 100% recovered. The doc had “pity” on mum whose annual leave had gone negative even before she started work in 2012! Today was the 2nd “official” day I’m back to work physically as I had been working from the hospital for the past one week. Well, do not want to elaborate more on our nightmares and I could only be grateful to all the prayers and love showered on Baby Jo. Am also very thankful that God had blessed me with the bravest baby ever! Can you imagine a 2.5yrs old whom had gone thru all the sagas for the past one week had not made a single squeal nor shed a tear and still remained her cheerful (not forgetting cheeky) and bubbly-self. It’s as if she knows and wouldn’t want us to be worried. It really touched our hearts deeply as well as broke it too seeing her like that. Am glad it’s over now (it better be!) and I surely do not want to go through it again, EVER!
All of us were anticipating for school to re-open as Zo was already missing her buddies dearly (as much as grandma is missing her 7hrs of “peace” at home without her. LOL). I had promised Zo to make her a nice “back to school” bento. But due to the above (Baby Jo was admitted a day before school starts), so much that the soul would want to, but the situation just doesn’t allowed. Well, a promise is still a promise; moreover it’s the first day of school. I’m already feeling very bad for not able to be there for Zo on her first day of school, so with hubby’s help to relief me for an hour so that I could just pop home and prepare the bento the night before and kept it in the fridge for Zo. This was the best I could do.
The “STD 3” back to school bento was mini sealed mayo meatfloss sammies. Zo initially asked me to just use alphabet picks for the words but I told her her mum could do better than that. Haha. I had used a girl pick to sort of represent her. There are some pitted fresh cherry and cherry tomatoes in the box.
This is the first and only “proper” bento I had managed to make since school starts. Had been packing Zo easy and super speedy bentos such as cookies etc as I really could not do much with the limited time I had to pop home to collect Baby Jo’s meals from MIL and pack clean clothes. This entire week hubby is away again so my schedule is still pretty much in a mess. Hopefully everything will go back to normal after CNY. If I do not manage to update this blog again until after CNY; I would like to wish all my Chinese readers
GONG XI FA CHAI 恭喜发财,身体健康,万事如意!!!
