Bento # 399 - Eggtart "angry couple" birthday gift bento

Just as I was over-thrilled that school closes from Tue onwards (until today) for Deepavali celebration, Zo told us that she was invited to her school buddy TY’s birthday party on Sat and that TY is her usual lunch partner (with other 4 more) and always admires the bentos I made for Zo. Ok lor… I got the “hint”. Thank God birthdays only comes once a year. LOL!

Zo said that TY’s favorite was the “eggtart Angry Bird” I made before. So I had asked hubby to pick up some fresh eggtarts from the famous Min Xiang Tai on his way back from the hospital (MIL had a minor eye opt) on Sat morning. I dig and I dug on Sat morning and thank God I found this new set of 2-tier bento box I bought from Japan yonks ago (that time Pg don’t even have a 100Yen Shop). And I “hated” myself for not even knowing what on earth “bento” was then when I was “so near yet so far” to all the tools I’m dying to buy now! So you think it’s “fated”? I’ll leave that for you to decide. 

I had made her a yellow angry-bird couple on the upper tier. There were some boiled edamame (Zo said everytime she brings edamame to school, TY will asked to share), Korean grapes, cherry tomatoes and choco éclair as treats on the lower tier. Now looking back at the picture, I think the “female” bird kinda look like Garfield’s girlfriend, Arlene. Do you think so too?

Anyway, I’m very happy that TY love the bento to bits. And now I just hope that the mum won’t come after me if her daughter started to ask for a bento daily. Hahaha.
