Yo Ho! My oh my… I can’t imagine it had been more than 2 weeks since my last post. No wonder the thick “cob web” on this blog. LOL! The economy is going down of late and all the companies are trying to cut cost in all the way they could. We as employees also have to buckle-up ourselves in order not to be the next “victim” (if you know what I meant). Besides the economy, my “bento moods & motivations” had been on the low side as well. Packing bento now had become more like a routine (sometimes even felt like a drag) for me more than a passion. I need a long break – seriously!
Ok, the thing that got me on today’s post was this – Waffles! I had heard the advert on radio few times and it got me, a waffle-avid very interested to check it out. Zo was very happy to spot them at the bread stall last night and literally squealed “Mummy, see see.. They have it!!!” (blush blush… a bit embarrassed as passer-by were staring at us). I’m not sure how many flavors they had but we only found 2 – vanilla & blueberry at the stall, so I bought both to try out. Zo wanted the blueberry ones and I just heat them up in the microwave this morning before spreading some Nutella on. I had used a giant Australian strawberry flower to decorate the waffles but later to found that it’s way too huge for the lid to be on. So I had to move it to the side on top of the grapes & cherry tomatoes before I could close the cover. On "convenience" point of view, it sure got full marks from me. As for taste wise…. I can only update you after I picked Zo from school this evening and until my next posting….. But my guessing was the only thing she would complain would be the strawberry is too sour. After having those sweet Korean strawberries, now even Baby Jo is not interested in any other strawberries except Korean ones. Yeah, my girls are really spoilt. Blame it on the mother! +_+
