Bento # 392 - HK farewell bento

Good morning everyone… {oh.. it’s morning already???....oh my, seem like I just closed my eyes and it’s already morning….} Yes, you had guessed it right. I hardly had enough sleep yesterday and I blame no one except the few sips of coffee I took at 6pm from hubby’s cup!!! My eyes were still wide open at 1:30am and by the time I managed to doze off, my alarm clock rang! And now, I’m trying to type this post with “one eye” – ½ + ½ eye = 1 eye! LOL!

For the past few days I had only made speedy bentos for Zo (same goes with today due to the reason above) so I did not take any picture of them. Yesterday I made a “farewell bento” for our Pastor’s 2nd daughter E (R & H’s sister) whom is leaving for further studies today. She was very impressed with the 2 bentos I made for her sisters last week so I think I should make her one too before she leaves. I asked her what was her favorite cartoon and she said “HK or/and PPG”… PPG… so much that I wished I have the time but I really could not spare any time to make those colour egg sheets which I really sucks at. So HK saves the day.
HK is just a plain rice onigini using the HK metal stencil – a gift from this buddy. Since it’s just a flat stencil (quite big actually), I had to mould the rice using the help of some clig wraps with the stencil on top as guideline. Since its just plain rice, I had thrown in a packet of HK furikake to go with it and some HK shape SPAM. Side goodies are some blueberries and a “pink” (that’s what the label said) cherry tomato.

We would like to wish E all the best and we will miss her dearly and hope that we will meet again soon!
