Good Monday friends! Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Our weekend had been hectic but fulfilled. In conjunction with my eldest sis birthday yesterday, all my nieces & nephew went back to KL (my nieces are flight stewardess therefore they stayed/travels in foreign lands) to celebrate their mum’s birthday with her. And they also took a trip back to PG to visit my parents over the weekend so we got to have a “family reunion dinner” & enjoyed my mum’s cooking which we have not had for a long long time. In fact it had been more than 1.5 yrs since we last seen my eldest niece during our trip to SG last Mar. We had a good time catching-up and were sad that they could not stay longer (as 2nd niece needs to report to duty on early Sun). I hope that they will have more chances of visiting in the near future so that I could keep my promise to cook a scrumptious homecook meal for them.
Part of the reason that our weekend was so hectic was Zo had her school annual sports day on Sat. So I had been up and about and been busy since 6am that day. I gave Zo a choice of shaped pastas or dry noodles for her bento and she chooses the former. So I had packed her some shaped pastas drizzled with olive oil and baked HK shape SPAMs. The lower tier consisted of some seedless grapes, a packet of HK furikake, 2 cherries and a strawberry. I was also very happy and proud that Zo won the silver medal for her telematch game eventhough they could have gotten the gold medal if not of some “miscommunications & misinformation” among the teachers. But we are still proud of her for being a good sport.
