Father's Day replacement dinner

Happy “rainbow Monday” everyone! (I had come out that in order to beat the Monday blues, best way is to “colour” them rainbow. LOL!) Days come, days go; weeks come and weeks go. Don’t you agree that time flies and especially when you are busy; they seem to travel in full speed? Just when I thought I could spend a relax weekend since hubby is back from his trip, he was down with fever and “bloatiness” (if there’s ever such a word) after an overdosed of “the king” on Sat. Blame it on gluttoness! Tsk tsk tsk! After a straight sleeps of almost 24hours (with occasions waking to go to the wc and food); he was back on his feet last evening (Phew! And I almost drop dead due to tiredness!)

Since we were both down with a bad course of gastric on Father’s Day and thereafter he had been away on biz. I had taken the opportunity to cook a meal of home cook dinner as “Father’s Day replacement dinner” for the family last night. Nothing fancy but just something that he and the family enjoys. Most importantly, is the "presences" that made this meal most enjoyable.

Top left to right down:-
Nestum prawns, corn-in-a-bowl (req by Zo), the dinner, butter baked cod (for Baby Jo), “bangkuang” stir fry, fried onion rings. MIL chipped in the “bangkuang (yam bean or jicama) stir fry” & “pork tummy soup” which was not in the pic.
There’s no bento posting today as nobody remembered to get bread so I just packed Zo a simple cookie bento with lots of fruits. Have a wonderful week ahead!
