Zo missed the last day of school due to we have an important even to attend. I had her passed the letter to her teacher on the Mon of the last week of school it self and also had her reminded the teacher daily for any holiday homework in advance. But the reply came back “nothing” until Thu. And yesterday, the first day of the school term, she came home with 9 homework (which 6 out of them were holiday homework)!!! The teacher was “kind” enough for her to complete them in 2 days (which I’m so tempted to send her a “Thank you” note for being so “kind”)! Zo had to rush to complete them until almost 10pm last night and only managed to finished 7. She still has 2 “major” ones which I had asked her to continue on this morning and I’ll check them tonight as she was already very tired. I was truly put-off with it as it’s clearly not our fault as Zo did not missed school last minute like B. And being so (last minute absent), Zo told me B had more homework than she (excuse me??? I was like WT…. o_O)! The PTA will rest assured that I will surely give them a piece of my mind during the next meeting. ISH!!!
Ok enough of rantings and back to today’s bento. I had had a colleague of mine whom recently went to Hong Kong for vacation to look out for me these cute Panda cookies from Kee Wah Bakery. But unfortunately, she could not locate them in any of their outlets. And lo and behold, during our short break at Ipoh last weekend, I spotted them on the shelf of Jusco Kinta City of all places! I do not recall seeing them in Jusco or any supermarkets in Penang at all. Wonder why these supermarkets never standardize their products. Tsk tsk tsk! Zo was more than delighted when I asked her if it’s ok for her if I just give her cookies for her bento today. So today is yet another speedy Panda theme bento. After looking at the picture, I thought the cookies kinda resemble “Po” too, don’t you think so? Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I had also snapped a picture of the original packaging of the cookies for your reference.
