YAWN YAWN YAWN……. Ooppss.. sorry… LOL! Please forgive me here as today I’m basically a walking zombie. Eventhough it was a public holiday, Thaipusam in Penang (and Selangor) yesterday, but my company doesn’t recognize it so it was a normal workday for me. Only “consolidation” was no school, so no bento needed. I only slept past 12:30am and was awoken choked by my runny and stuff nose at 5am! I had difficult in breathing despite clearing my nose couple of time. So from 5:30am onwards, I literally slept in “sitting position” until Baby Jo called “maaa” seeing me sitting up thinking I was awake. So I patted her back to sleep and got up to get ready for work at around 7am.
We met up for dinner with a very very dear old friend, whom coincidentally, was also my “dance sifu” and her family whom are visiting from KL/Canada after we have not met for more than 10 years since she migrated to Canada. We had a great time catching-up and had the entire weekend planned for more catching-up and of course, FEASTING! Kekekeke. Her 3 years old son Keenan is an avid fan of Transformer (now tell me, which boy, big or small is not huh? Ok, except hubby. I guessed he would only be a fan if Transformers were transformed from a laptop and not cars. LOL!).
I have very limited time to come out with this bento as hubby only told me that we were meeting up while I was on the way driving home from work. MAN! With a quick swing to the grocery store, I quickly grab the bread and sped home to start my “project”. I had only less than an hour for everything, which includes getting the girls ready! I had to “assigned” hubby to help Zo pack her school bag. Crossing my fingers that she won’t come home tonight and told that she got punished because she didn’t bring something.
I’ve specially bought this Transformers bento box for the purpose the moment I she told me she is coming to Penang and visit us. In the box were nori cut outs of Transformers logos on smoked cheese slice on top of toasted buffalo mozzarella pocket sandwich. These logos took me most of the time as they were so much smaller than this and so much more tedious to cut. It’s really a good “patience tester” specially when one was only given such a short time. But I’m really happy and relieved that I managed to pull through and he just simply adores them. Besides the pocket sandwich, there were also a giant strawberry, 2 honey cherry tomatoes, a heart shape mini wiener, a car shaped egg and a small container of ketchup.
We reached home past 11pm so after all the cleaning-up and putting the girls to bed. I was almost drop dead tired so I didn’t get to get ready Zo’s bento today. This morning, I just packed her some cornflake butter cookies, a giant strawberry and 2 cubes of Pooh papaya as her bento. I’ll “compensate” her with more “proper” bento tomorrow for her replacement school day (for CNY) then. And now, I’ll just get back to my “zombie land”.

Darrius and my hubby also don't like Transformers.... :P
Great job!! I'll pass off those nori cutting any day! :P
Thanks Angeleyes!
On contrary, I prefer "this kind" of nori cutting vs those punch out ones and slowly stick on 1 by 1. I get stressed whevere there's a missing "nose" or "eyeball" went missing cz too small to been seen and handle. :P
