Bento # 57

Wana try out this new HK gadget so have made this "special dinner" bento for Zo. One of the reason is also to console her for cutting her hair real short. She will be starting std1 next week and the school rule is "no long hair" unless you get a letter from your ballet school..... she cried pitifully until the hairdresser also felt so pressured cutting her hair. The mum of our hairdresser also had pity on her. What to do, she had never cut her hair so short before for the past 6yrs of her life..haihs.

My new HK pan

HK fried egg with Mickey rice

HK fried egg with black fungus eyes, carrot nose, "tau pok" & carrot ribbon
(oopss.. just realized I forgot about the whiskers)

Mickey rice with fried soy sauce chicken floss

Kiwi tulips as desserts

My "secret reciepe" salsa dip

Made this for my office Christmas eve gift exchange party tomorrow by popular demand. Made them once for a gathering and since then, colleagues have fell in love with it and always ask me to make this whenever there is a gathering... haiyo, besides this, I can still cook many other things one lar...ish... they not sien eating I pun sien cooking it lo.. anyway, as long they are happy lar... to spread the joy and happiness of our Lord Jesus Christ birth is the main reason for this celebration what. ^__^

But I paid a very painful price for it. No, I wasn't nailed on the cross (Thank God!). I burnt my finger with the "salsa larva" and it left a 1.5" "pompa" (watery) scar.. yes, it HAS to be the MIDDLE finger!!!

Christmas goodies

Took halfday leave on Fri to bake but at the end was tied down with tons of housework. So postponed to Sat... then Sat hubby's KL colleague came for visit, so postponed again la... On Sun, Zo had dance practice till 3pm, by the time reached home and got started, already 4pm.

Wanted to make cupcake pops initially but couldn't find the lolli sticks anywhere, so planB - cupcake bites lo. 1st batch was quite disastrous (pink choc) frosting as I've left the choc melts & the cake bites out too long. Lesson learnt and 2nd batch (white choc) turned out to be quite good but of course the colour wasn't as sharp as the pink one and I found that the white choc is a bit too sweet too.

Really have to thank God for a supportive and sweet hubby. [Ok, lay your hands off ladies, he is TAKEN!!!] hahaha.... Joke aside, I was stressed till I nearly forgot to ask mil to feed baby Jo and thank God again for baby Jo whom has been so patiently waited for mummy for the whole afternoon to carry her (hugs hugs & kiss kiss). Hubby actually "made" these "christmas tree cookies". I mix the dough, he knelt, rolled and cut them for me. After that he told me he wouldn't want to eat any cookie ever..LOL!

Zo of course enjoyed "playing" with the sprinkles.

Due to I've "hogged" the kitchen & dining table, at the end, everybody had Magee Mee for dinner. And I had mine almost 10pm after feeding baby Jo and put her to bed. Told hubby to give me a big tight slap if I ever tell him I wanted to bake for christmas again! X_X

Bento # 56

Again, Zo had to stay back after church today for her Christmas presentation practice. Found these Princess shape pasta at Cold Storage and she was so thrilled. Bought another can of Pooh one which will be cooked on other occasion. Left only kiwis and some black seedless grapes in the fridge as I was so stressed over my Christmas baking that I've totally forgotten to get some strawberries while I was in Jusco this morning. Hopefully my baking will be a success; otherwise all the stress for nothing. The new mini cutters I got from 100Yen Taman Desa has came into good use on the sausages. Happy! :)

Well done Jeslyn! Hope you like the bento. We are very proud of you. :)

My "harvest" from KL trip

Here are my "harvest" from the KL trip last weekend. Hubby was so sweet to check out from his fellow colleagues as well as the GPS to find out the way to 100Yen Shop Taman Desa & Kuchai Lama and drove me around in search for the tools. :) But unfortunately, both 100Yen Shop does not accept credit card payments due to "machine spoilt" - the excuse they gave la. Because of this, I had to "tie my hands" up lo.
100Yen Taman Desa
Have been looking for this collapsible bento box for a long time. Can't find it anywhere in PG and BentoCraft is out of stock. The mini-cutters are very useful for wieners too.

100Yen Kuchai Lama They have more Disney products but of course the price is a bit higher la. Zo was so happy to see the Hello Kitty tumbler which made her "match" perfect. So Hello Kitty is all set to go to school in 2 weeks time. :)

It was love at first sight for the Precious Moments box. I've always been a PM fan, but unfortunately it's very hard to find their products here and it's very pricey.

Got some Bunny sauce containers and a Disney Princess mug with cover for Zo. I have gotten some other stuff too but there are for Christmas gifts, so sorry la, cannot post em up here otherwise the receivers would know what I got d... hehe

Daiso, The Curve

I've requested for hubby not to go IOI Mall this time due to time constrained, plus I don't really have anything in particular to buy there. So just popped in the Daiso at The Curve while we had lunch there and got the tamago pan & a bigger thermal bag for Zo as the thermal bag she has now couldn't fit in her new Hello Kitty bento box.

100Yen, Ipoh

Again, I have the sweetest hubby in the world whom took the trouble to stop by 100Yen Shop in Ipoh on our way back to PG. This shop only accepts credit card payments with purchases of RM100 and above. So... sapu lor.. need or no need also sapu, otherwise how to make up to RM100 ar?!
Some Pooh & Minnie hangers for the girls; pill box and shoe sole for hubby, shades for my new car and a set of new molds, animal picks plus a silicon mat to add to my tool box.

This is the bag of gifts which I'm not supposed to disclose.... yet.. hehehe....

Overall, I think I did quite well on this trip. But if credit cards were accepted, I think I would even "excel". ^___^
